As Nigeria marks the 2025 Democracy Day, Hon. Jelili Kayode Amusan (JKA), a prominent leader in Ogun State, has extended warm greetings to Nigerians, urging citizens to reflect on the nation’s democratic journey and renew their commitment to unity and progress.

In a heartfelt message, Hon. Amusan described June 12 as a day that symbolizes the struggle for freedom, the sacrifices of heroes and heroines, and the triumph of democracy over oppression.

*”To me, this day represents the struggle for freedom and democracy, a day sacrifices were made by our heroes and heroines, and it represents the triumph of the Nigerian spirit over oppression and tyranny,”* he stated.

Hon. Amusan acknowledged the challenges Nigeria has faced over the years but emphasized the resilience of its people. “We have come a long way since then, though our journey has been riddled with challenges and setbacks, but we have a lot to be proud of,” he remarked.

He praised Nigerians for their unwavering determination in the face of adversity and called for renewed efforts toward building a more inclusive and prosperous nation.

“Today, as we celebrate the resilience and strength that has kept us united and determined in the face of adversity, let us renew our commitment to building a more inclusive, prosperous, and democratic Nigeria,” he urged.

Hon. Amusan’s message resonated with many Nigerians, as he encouraged citizens to uphold democratic values, promote peace, and work together for national development.

He concluded with a cheerful note, saying, “Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria!!!!”

The statement was signed:
“Sincerely Yours, Hon. Jelili Kayode Amusan (JKA)” and dated *Thursday, June 12, 2025.

As Nigeria commemorates this historic day, leaders like Hon. Amusan continue to inspire hope and reinforce the importance of democracy in shaping the nation’s future.
