As part of measures at curbingthe spread of the deadly CORONAVIRUS pandemic in Odeda local government area of Ogun state and as well as supporting government efforts to fight and educate people on personal hygiene The chairman of Odeda Local government Alhaji Semiu Bola Lawal has led other members of the transition committee with health officers in the council area to educate and sanitized market men and women and as well as teaching them what to do to be free from the deadly Virus .

The exercise kick-started with a visit to Gbonagun Market, Odo Eran Obantoko where Babaloja of the market Alhaji Mudashiiru Egbeyemi lauded the gesture of the council boss saying saying all efforts will be put in place to adhere strictly to the safety tips .

He said it became necessary to sensitize and protect the market women from the deadly virus.

Mrs Esther Bankole the health educator , Odeda local government said the exercise is in line with the WHO guidelines and standard hence the need for compliance. While sanitizing both market men and women with passers

SHe therefore, urged market leaders to put in place hand washing buckets, soaps and water at all entry of the markets for every individual to wash their hands before gaining entry to the market.

Alhaji Semiu Bola Lawal enjoined the people to join hands with the state government to curb the spread of the disease and be safety cautious.
