ORU IJEBU, OGUN STATE – The entire community of Oru Ijebu is preparing for the grand celebration of the 10th Coronation Anniversary of their revered king, the Oloru of Oru Ijebu Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Oba (Dr.) Abdul-Razaq Olufemi Adebanjo. The highly anticipated event is set to be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the ancient town, of Oru Ijebu.

The Ogun State Secretary to the Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, who is an indigene of the town, will play host to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and other members of the state cabinet to grace the occasion. The event will also host a host of dignitaries from across the country.

Oba Adebanjo’s 10th Coronation Anniversary is a significant milestone in the history of Oru Ijebu and a testament to the king’s exemplary reign. It is an opportunity for the people of Oru Ijebu to showcase their cultural heritage.

The event which is a two-in-one celebration, the 10-year celebration on the throne of the monarch as the royal father of the community and the 70th birthday of the Kabiyesi, will feature various cultural performances, musical entertainment, and a display of the rich cultural heritage of Oru Ijebu. The high point of the event will be the conferment of Chieftaincy titles on deserving individuals who have made significant contributions to the community.

The Chairman Central Planning Committee, Chief Gbenga Sunday Idowu, on behalf of the SSG, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi expressed the readiness of the planning committee and the good people of Oru-Ijebu to host the Governor and the State Executive Council of Ogun State. He also commended the efforts of Oba Adebanjo in promoting peace and unity in the community.
