IJEBU NORTH EAST – Officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs have conducted an assessment tour of development projects executed by the Folusho Badejo-led administration in Ijebu North East Local Government.

The inspection, which took place on Friday, April 4, 2026, covered several community-focused initiatives spread across the local government area, including solar-powered boreholes, school infrastructure, and sanitation facilities.

Among the projects inspected were solar-powered boreholes at Apuren, Itamarun, Ilese, and Odosenbora, aimed at improving access to clean and portable water. The team also assessed modern toilet facilities built for students at Odogbondu, as well as a newly completed two-block classroom and office at Ilese, designed to enhance the learning environment.

The ministry’s inspection team expressed satisfaction with the quality, reach, and relevance of the projects, noting their direct impact on residents. Benefiting communities have continued to commend the chairman for what they described as visible grassroots development.

“Ijebu North East is moving forward steadily,” one resident said, echoing a common sentiment among locals who have nicknamed Chairman Badejo Arole Dapo Abiodun – a Yoruba phrase meaning “heir to Dapo Abiodun,” in reference to the state governor’s developmental strides.
