The members of Osun State Polytechnic Iree Alumni Association (OSPAA) on Saturday elected New National Executives at NUJ Press Center, Iyaganku, Ibadan.

The Legal Adviser of the association, Barr Isaac Abiodun Olaide immediately swore in the elected officers in line with the constitutional provision and Certificate of Return issued by the Electoral Committee Chairman.

The Committee thank all members who took their time to travel down from far and wide to vote and those who narrowly missed the exercise as the polls have ended by the time they arrived. The tireless effort of the host Chapter Chairman Oyo State is appreciated, the Chairman of Lagos Chapter for rallying Lagosians together and the mother Chapter Chairman Osun for leading his people down.

“We charge the newly Executives to deliver on their manifestoes and uphold their Oath of office” he said

Due to COVID- 19 directives of Osun State Government which banned gathering of more than 50 people, the Alumni Association choosed Ibadan, the State Capital of Oyo State where such gathering was not banned.

Association has written several letters to Osun State Government to get approval on the National Convention but the State government did not approve it due to COVID 19 directives in Osun State. This necessitated the Association to use the same venue which the last Excos was elected.

The new excos were duly elected through the ballot papers and the votes were counted in the presence of Old Students who stormed the venue world wide. A legal luminary then sworn in new National Executives for another tenure.

The President, Mr. Adegboye Adenrele Olalekan thanked the old students for their commitments. He promised new innovations and programmes in his regime.
