The re-election of Governor Dapo Abiodun is an act of God which should be acknowledged by all and sundry to further improve on service delivery in Ogun State.

This was the opinion of Bishop of Diocese of Egba West, Anglican Communion, Bishop Samuel Oludele Ogundeji when he spoke at the thanksgiving service held in honor of Prince Dapo Abiodun to appreciate God for his second term inauguration and 63rd birthday celebration at the Government House Chapel, Oke Igbein, Abeokuta.

In his sermon titled “Not by Power, Not by Might” which he took from the book of Zechariah chapter 4 verse 6, Bishop Ogundeji said God Himself had commissioned the Governor for the second term assignment urging him to trust more in God for the success of the tenure.

First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun in her address, expressed her gratitude to God for the achievements recorded in the first term of the administration amidst the various challenges.

She acknowledged the political will of her husband to serve the state diligently, affirming that he had portrayed this virtue long before now.

Mrs. Abiodun expressed her gratitude to the good people of Ogun State for their support for her husband in the last administration urging all to come together for the success of the new tenure.

In an interview, former commissioner for budget and planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan and his counterpart in the Ministry of women affairs, Hon. Funmi Efuwape in unison said that the second term mandate was for the Governor to consolidate on the foundation laid in the first term.

The ceremony had in attendance, former commissioners in the state, body of permanent secretaries, members of Spouses of Ogun State Functionaries Association (SOSGFA) and directors among others.
