The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano has felicitated residents of the Council area in particular and Nigerians at large on the occasion of the Country’s 62nd Independence Day Celebration.

The Council boss in her Independence Day message called on Nigerians to maintain unity, faith, peace and progress which are the core values and motto of our founding fathers. She equally called on the leaders and the citizens as well to re-dedicate themselves to the virtues of equity, justice and tolerance which are the values that can take the country to the promise land.

Hon. Delano also encouraged Nigerians to be optimistic because the country has a brighter future. She therefore, enjoined them to always embrace peace and shun any form of violence as we are preparing for the 2023 general elections. She however, pleaded with them to conduct themselves in a manner befitting a responsible citizen.

Hon. Delano further enjoined the Citizens to be grateful for God’s immense blessings on the country and encouraged them to be hopeful while praying for a more united and peaceful nation.
