The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has officially inaugurated the House Numbering Committee in Obafemi Owode Local Government, saddled with the responsibilities of digitalizing streets naming, areas and to create means of identification to houses and residents in the council area.
The council boss spelt out the importance of the digitalization of streets, as it is purposeful in monitoring the activities and curbing the security breach inline with the highbridge technology and security artificial intelligence.
Amb. Ogunsola stressed that the need for digitalization of our streets, area and identification of an individual was due to the security challenges in the country which has made the state government to establish different security agencies in maintaining law and order.
He said the idea is to creat an easy accessibility to everyone in getting to their destination through the help of google map and it will also place the local government on global map.
He further explained that the consultant for the job will henceforth be moving into Communities for the registration of the streets, CDAs with identifiable uniform, as he calls on the Community Development Association(CDA), Community Development Committee(CDC) to cooperate with them by giving them necessary information whenever they get to their area.
Similarly, Amb. Ogunsola has decorated Prophet Ojerinde and Wife has the Patron and Matron of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee, NULGE Obafemi Owode Local Government Branch, in recognition of their contribution towards the development of workers and the area.
The council boss noted the importance of recognizing an individual who has contributed positively to the society where they reside, as prophet Ojerinde is a good example.
He stressed that he is convinced that Prophet Ojerinde is an exceptional son of the soil who has contributed in the development of his home town after spending years in the diaspora.
He therefore promised both patron and matron of government support at anytime the need arises, as he encouraged them not to relent in giving their best as no good will go unrewarded during his administration.
Appreciating the council boss, prophet Ojerinde promised to continue partnering the government in providing social amenities, aait is part of his calling as a prophet of God.
He thanked the Nulge for recommending him and his wife to the government,promised unalloyed solidarity towards the development of staffs welfare among other privileges as the patron and matron respectively.
Present at the inauguration includes, Hon. Abiodun Sobukanla, vice Chairman, Hon.Kayode Dipeolu Secretary to the Local Government,Comrade Kabir Oluwaseyi Victor, NULGE Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government Branch amongst others.
