The Executive Chairman, Odeda Local Government, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo has sworn in Hon. Zacchaeus Adio Makinde as the Secretary to the Local Government at a colourful and well attended event held at the Council Secretariat on Wednesday 16th February, 2022.

Other members of the Exco that were sworn in are Hon. Taofeek Ojerinde, Hon. Rofiat Kilani, Hon. Yomi Adeyemi Gbenga and Hon. Ayorinde Awwal as Supervisory Councillors. Hon. Adenekan Sheriff and Hon. Ahmed Amoje were sworn in as Advisers while Hon. Adeola Oyetunde and Hon. Olayinka Nurudeen Adenuga were sworn in as consultants.

In her speech at the event, Hon. Adeyemo affirmed her loyalty and appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Executive Governor of Ogun State whom she described as a political legend, mentor and the best democrat Nigeria has ever produced.

She equally implored the newly sworn in members of her cabinet to key into her administration’s developmental agenda in order to build a new Odeda Local Government which will be an envy of others. She promised not to deviate from her administration’s principles of justice, fairness, equitability and transparency. She however, congratulated the appointees while reiterating her strong belief and conviction that unity and oneness of the Local Government is beyond comprise.

In their separate speeches, Pastor Michael Fajimi, an APC leader in the Local Government and Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Odeda State Constituency charged the appointees to discharge their duties diligently and be loyal party members.

Dignitaries at the event include the Vice Chairman, Hon. Yaya Nasiru Adigun, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Rotimi Adeyemi, the Head of Local Government Administration, Miss Olufunke Adeniji and other principal political and career officers of the Local Government. Others include Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal, former Chairman of the Council area, Hon. Musulumi Saka, the APC Chairman in Odeda Local Government, Hon. Wale Famuyiwa and other APC leaders across the Council Area.
