Abeokuta– Youths and farmers across Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode, and Odeda Federal Constituency have showered encomiums on Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba for organising a transformative agricultural value chain training workshop aimed at boosting agribusiness and youth empowerment.

The initiative, held in partnership with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), trained over 300 farmers and young entrepreneurs in modern agricultural techniques, value addition, and investment opportunities in the sector.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comrade Mudashiru Olarewaju and Alhaji Shodiya Haroon commended the lawmaker for the impactful program, stating, *“This training has opened our eyes to new opportunities in agriculture. We are now better equipped to improve productivity and explore agribusiness ventures.”*

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun State Chapter, also praised the initiative. In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Mujeeb Akewugberu, the council described the workshop as *“a timely intervention that will reduce unemployment and drive sustainable development in the agricultural sector.”*

Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba, while addressing participants, reiterated his commitment to empowering constituents through skill development and economic opportunities. *“Agriculture remains a key sector for job creation and food security. We will continue to support our youths and farmers to ensure growth and self-reliance,”* he stated.

The training, which included practical sessions and financial support for participants, has been widely applauded as a step toward reducing youth unemployment and boosting Ogun State’s agricultural potential.

As beneficiaries set out to implement their newfound knowledge, stakeholders are optimistic that the initiative will foster economic growth and position the constituency as a hub for agribusiness innovation.
