The leadership and members of the Ogun State Chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) have congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the people of Ogun state over the victory recorded at the Appeal Court, in the election petition filed by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, the Ogun State ALGON Chairman and who also double as Ijebu Ode local government chairman, Honorable Babtunde Emilola-Gazal said the victory at the March 18, 2023 election, was no fluke; it was freely given by the majority of the people of Ogun State, as a testimony of the fact that your performance in the first term was good enough.

“The body of Local Government Chairmen in Ogun State, ALGON, congratulates the Executive Governor of the State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, on his victory at the Appeal Court, in the election petition filed by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

“The judgement of the election petition tribunal, reaffirmed by the appellate court, is a testimony that your victory at the March 18, 2023 election, was no fluke; it was freely given by the majority of the people of Ogun State, as a testimony of the fact that your performance in the first term was good enough.

“We are confident that the Governor shall continue to deliver as promised, and implore him to remain focused on his ISEYA mantra, spreading developments to all sections and sectors in Ogun State, and not be distracted by the rantings of those intent on stagnating the unprecedented growth the state has witnessed in the last four and a half years.

“We pray Almighty God to continue to give the governor good health and the wherewithal to discharge the onerous responsibilities of office, enabling him to remain a barometer of development leadership.

“We also implore the good people of Ogun State to continue to support the governor in all ramifications, in the belief that his second term shall witness the much desired further developments”He concluded
