Akure – Barely six hours after the dissolution of the Ondo State Executive Council, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has nominated the former Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, as his deputy governor.

Adelami, a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in 2020. Aiyedatiwa has therefore forwarded his name to the state House of Assembly for ratification.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed the nomination of the deputy governor. Adelami, from the Owo area of the state, retired from the National Assembly in April 2018.
