The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has welcomed Miss Folasade Isiaka, the first daughter of Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, GNI, a former gubernatorial candidate of ADC in the 2019 general elections in Ogun into its fold.

Newsacross reports that Ogun State PDP Publicity Secretary, Asiwaju Bankole Akinloye described her decision as satisfactory and courageous with an independent mind by ignoring all temptation of aligning with the All Progressive Congress in the State.

In a statement, Akinloye said: “The State Chairman of the party, Alh.( Dr) Sikirulai Ogundele, in company of other party leaders heartily welcomed Miss Folasade Isiaka and members of her political group popularly known as “Great Vision” into our great party on Monday 04/10/21.

“Miss Isiaka, who hails from Imeko/Afon LG is the President of the Great Vision Team, a social organization and the first daughter of Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, GNI, a former gubernatorial candidate of ADC in the 2019 general elections in Ogun.”

Stressing that Ogun State PDP salute Miss Isiaka’s show of independent mindedness, Akinloye added: “While we express deep satisfaction at Isiaka’s decision to join our party, we also assure all members of the Great Vision Team of level playing ground as PDP’s umbrella is big enough to shelter all interests without any rancour.

“We salute Miss Isiaka’s show of independent mindedness by ignoring all temptation of aligning with the sinking APC in the state. This is a most noble and patriotic decision coming at an appropriate time when the mass of the people who have been direct victims of the excruciating agonies that the ruling APC government represents are yawning for alternative.”

The PDP urged her followers to leverage on the membership e-registration to formalise their membership, and feel free to integrate themselves with all party members and leadership by playing active roles in all party’s activities and programs.
