Market men and women have been admonished to take increased precautionary measures to avert fire occurrences in market places.

The wife of the Governor of Ogun state, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun gave the admonition while she paid a condolence visit to the victims of the Sabo market fire incident which occurred recently.

She expressed her heart felt sympathy for the traders who lost their means of livehood in the inferno assuring the women in particular of her support for them considering their roles in the upkeep of families

Mrs. Abiodun who visited the victims with food items and cash, reiterated government’s promise to look into their plight and give succour to the affected traders noting that all that were affected would be compensated.

In his remark, the caretaker chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Mr. Banjo Baruwa appreciated the wife of the Governor on behalf of the market committee for deeming it fit to condole with the victims and giving them succour.

Meanwhile, the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has condoled with families of the Hausas that lost their lives in an auto crash that occurred recently on Ijebu Ode/Ore road which claimed eighteen lives.

Mrs. Abiodun visited the Hausa Community in Sabo, Ijebu Ode where she commiserated with the families of the deceased praying that God would give them the fortitude to bear the great loss.

She gave the families of the deceased food items and cash noting that the present administration was committed to the welfare of all residents of the state, irrespective of religion and culture.

In his remarks, the Seriki Hausawa of Ijebu Ode, Alhaji Yahaya Garuba said it was the first time a wife of a sitting Governor in Ogun state would visit the Hausa Community.

He expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture shown them by the wife of the Governor and promised their unalloyed support for the present administration.
