The Office of the Ogun State First Lady and the Ajose Foundation will hold the First Lady’s Adire Market Week in Abeokuta between Thursday, April 7 and Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

A release from the Office of the first lady stated that the event to showcase and promote authentic adire products,from 150 exhibitors would attract 5,000 local and international participants and equally feature a fashion exhibition, as part of activities scheduled for the opening and on the closing ceremony.

Going by the release , the Press Officer, Office of the Ogun State first Lady, Mrs Kemi Oyeleye states that the event is “organized to build on the gains of the successful launch of the adireogun.com, promote financial inclusion for women-owned businesses, enhance the tourism potentials in our dear State and further help Ogun State continue to set the pace as the adire capital of the world”.

The the wife of the Vice President, Her Excellency, Mrs, Dolapo Osinbajo is the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion and will also be graced by a cultural icon and outstanding adire trader, Chief Nike Davies Okundaye.
