Abeokuta — Reconstruction and rehabilitation works have commenced on failed sections of the Adatan–Car Wash Road in Abeokuta as part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and enhance transportation within the state capital.
The project focuses on the Car Wash–Moore Junction corridor, where contractors have moved to site and begun the reconstruction of deteriorated portions of the road. The intervention is aimed at restoring the road’s durability, improving traffic flow, and ensuring safer movement for motorists, commercial operators, and pedestrians.
Residents and commuters who regularly ply the route are expected to benefit from the upgrade upon completion, as the road serves as a major link connecting several communities and commercial areas within Abeokuta.
Authorities have appealed to members of the public to cooperate with construction workers and observe traffic management measures put in place during the rehabilitation period.
The government also expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of residents and road users, assuring them that efforts are being made to ensure the timely completion of the project and minimize disruptions to daily activities.
The reconstruction forms part of broader initiatives aimed at upgrading critical road infrastructure across Ogun State to support economic activities and improve the quality of life for residents.
