Speaking shortly after the inauguration, Comrade Olamide Lawal , who doubles as the group coordinator and Special Assistant to the Ogun state Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun resolved to put machinery in motion to build an indivisible, united and strong APC Youth League across 336 wards in the state ahead of the local government elections and 2023 polls.

He said with the inauguration, the group will have over five thousand ward exco that would run the affairs of the party in the 336 wards of the state and over 700 for the 20 local governments, including the state excos.

He maintained that APCYL remains the only vomidable group not just in Abeokuta North but across the state.

He charged the new executive members of the group to stay focused, reminding them of the onerous task ahead to lead the group to subsequent local government electoral victories next year.

“By the special grace of God, as we ran the group from 2018 to date, we are going to strategize and do more for the APCYL to emerge victorious come 2023. We will ensure the unity of all members and fairness in the group.

In his remarks, the Ogun state Governor, who was represented by the commissioner for youth and sport Development, Hon. Dare Kehinde commeded the Dapo Abiodun led administration and youth inclusiveness in his cabinet.

He, therefore, advised the youths to be law-abiding, ensure that they operate peacefully while co-existing with each other while adding that the days of thuggery and acts inimical to the development of the state are gone.

.

Also, Hon Dare appealed to Commuters and transporters to avoid unwarranted December pressure and be more professional on the road.

He said, “We give glory to Almighty God for His protection over us till this last month of the year. However, it is important to be wary of happenings around us especially during these festive periods.

I want to appeal to our Youths and motorists to be careful while driver and avoid pressure in whatever form. If they must drink, they should not drive. Importantly, we should try as much as possible not to put ourselves under undue pressure to achieving what we couldn’t achieve in the last eleven months thereby cutting short our lives.

We have to be security conscious and put a stop to frequent loss of lives and property during this festive period.”

He said, “Our youths must stay from crimes. Yes, we have to strive to achieve our worldly desires but then no amount of pressure we put on ourselves that would make us achieve what is outside our destiny.

Earlier in his remarks, The Abeokuta North APC Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Sobayo urged Youths to embrace honesty and selflessness in politics

He admonished them to embrace the culture of honesty and selflessness in their quest to join partisan politics

“If you want to play politics you must be selfless to be able to protect your people and must also purge your heart from any misconduct that could derail your vision,” he said.

He urged youths to be truthful and sincere in their engagements, as according to him that would earn them the trust of the people.

In attendance were The two most prominent Chairmanship aspirants of the party, Hon. Tajudeen Ishola and Hon Wale Belo, local government Youth leader of the party, Hon. Solomon Akinbo, State excos and Local government coordinators of the group.
