Breaking: Another Ogun APC Chieftain Dies At 73

Chief Babatunde Fadun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbesa, Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun state, has died at the age of 73.

Personal Assistant to Honourable Jimoh Olushola Ojugbele, Member, representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal constituency at the green chamber, said the deceased died at a private hospital in Lagos after a brief illness on Tuesday.

Tributes have started pouring in as indigines and residents of Igbesa, in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of the state received the shocking demise of an APC Chieftain and a prominent Chief in the town, Chief Babatunde Fadun which occured in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to a social media post made by Durojaiye Ebenezer Ekundayo, the Personal Assistant to Honourable Jimoh Olushola Ojugbele, Member, representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal constituency at the green chamber, Chief Babatunde Fadun breathe his last in the early hours of Tuesday.

The late Chieftain was until his demise, member of Ogun state Elders Advisory Council. He was also the Head of Isalu family in Igbesa. The deceased also contested as a Senator to represent Ogun West Senatorial district under the umbrella of PDP before later joining the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2018.

ogundaily.com/ gathered that Chief Babatunde Fadun would have turned 74 in November, if he had not breathe his last this morning.

However, tributes have started pouring in for the late sage.

An indigene of Igbesa, Olatunji Matthew Odagi wrote,

“I received this news in a rude shock. Haaaaaaaaa!! One of our Prides in Igbesa land is gone. Many good things I shared and learnt from the late sage and formidable politician. May the good God forgive his son and grant the soul a peaceful rest! Another colossal loss, just too much.

Another sympathizer, Babatunde Ridwan Olamilekan wrote, “It’s a pity, when the glorious children of a community are dying like a mosquito, chief T. K Aina also pass away like that? Who want to feel his positions?”
