Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commiserated with the Chairman, Board of Directors, Ogun-Guandong Free Trade Zone, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Adijat-Kubura Isiaka.

Alhaja Isiaka died on Monday at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, after brief illness. She was aged 80.

In a statement released by Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Monday, in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, the governor expressed his condolences, describing the demise of the Iya Adinni of Imekoland as painful.

According to the governor, the octogenarian was a successful trader and consummate community leader who made positive impact on her immediate environment.

He further described Alhaja Isiaka as a caring mother and lover of education, who ensured her children got the best of education and moral training.

Abiodun said the gentle mien and good attitude of her son, Gboyega Isiaka, also known as GNI, is a testimony to Mama’s good nature and home training inculcated into her children.

While saying Imekoland and Ogun state will miss the community leadership of Alhaja Isiaka, the governor prayed that her soul find peace and favour of Allah.

He also prayed Allah will give her children, family members and the entire Imekoland the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“Alhaja Isiaka lived a simple but fruitful life. She was a community leader, a religious woman and a successful trader who impacted positively on her people.

“GNI’s gentle mien and good manners is a testimony to Mama’s good and humane nature. As a lover of education, she ensured her children got the best of education and moral training, which were imbibed and being exhibited by all her children.

“On behalf of my family, Ogun State Executive Council and the entire people of Ogun, I expressed my heartfelt condolence to the family of Alhaja Isiaka. I pray Allah rests her soul and grant her Aljanah Firdaus. Adieu Mama GNI”. Abiodun was quoted to have said in the statement.
