A notable politician who is also the leading aspirant to the office of the Ogun State AMORAN Chairman, Hon. Kazeen Lawal otherwise known as “Winners” led other dignitaries and important personalities to grace the final match of the 2020 Ilugun Day Football Competition held at Orile Ilugun Secondary school playground, Ilugun on Friday.

The tournament, which ended today, was in commemoration of the ongoing annual Ilugun Day Celebration in conjunction with Ilugun Students Association.

Hon. Kazeem Lawal (Winners 2019/2020)has again demonstrated support for grassroots soccer development in the the area by sponsoring the just concluded Under 15 Boys and senior boys soccer tournament in the area.

The Under 15 final game was between Adewale Boys from Ibadan and Glorious Boys, Killa and it ended 2:0 in favor of Adewale Boys from Ibadan,Oyo state.

The Senior final game was between Orile Ilugun Booth and Alagba booth.

It eventually ended in favour of the Orile Ilugun Booth and Hon. Kazeem Lawal was at the event to present prizes to the winners and individual players who excelled at the tournament.

Speaking after the completion of the match, Hon. Kazeem Lawal noted that apart from being held in commemoration of this year’s Ilugun Day Celebration, the football competition is meant to tighten the cord of unity among youths in Ilugun and also discourage them from different social vices.

The President of the Association said about the sponsor: “We hereby acknowledge the heart-warming gesture of our sponsor, Hon. Kazeen Lawal (Winners 2019/2020). He has generously attended to our needs as regards the grassroots football development in our area.”

The competition was wrapped up with presentation of medals, trophies and cash prizes by Hon. Kazeen Lawal.
