Olumide Osoba’s empowerment programme excites constituents, Commissions 10 Projects

The People of Abeokuta North, Obafemi/Owode and Odeda Local government were elated when their representative in the National Assembly,the chairman House committee on Sports, Hon. Olumide Osoba provided empowerment materials for them.

Their arriving early as early as 10am on Saturday to the venue of the empowerment programme was justified as they knew that much benefits awaited them. They have had such noble experiences in the previous editions that was organized by the same Honourable in march 2020. All wanted to be counted as participants in the programme.

The event took place at Ibara GRA, Abeokuta,the state Capital. It was the 2nd edition of the empowerment programme of the lawmaker.

Appreciating the support of members of his constituency,that has three local government with 38 wards and several polling units.

Among the items of empowerment he distributed were grinding machines; sewing machines; Motorcycles; refrigerators; deep freezers; small and Big generators; and unit of 500kva transformer to Owode Egba in Obafemi/Owode local government.

He promised to do more for his people in other editions of the empowerment programmes in addition to discharging his constitutional responsibilities.

Hon Osoba said: “For many that have yet to benefit directly from empowerment and other schemes, the door is not closed, as the exercises are continuous and will always be equitable among 3 local government areas and 38 local wards.”

Three beneficiaries were picked in each wards of 38 wards within the 3 local government Areas.

Presenting his scorecard to his people during the event, Hon. Osoba said some of the projects and programmes he had carried out included facilitation of employment to unemployed youths within his constituency, Provision of waterworks in form of solar-powered boreholes and water treatment plants in three local government areas were parts of his campaign promises during the electionaring period.

Ten Projects were completed and commissioned during the 3 days event.

They are: 6 Panel Solar powered Borehole at Ahmadiyya Primary school, Adepegba,in Olodo ward, Odeda Local government.

6 Panel Solar powered Borehole at Christ Primary school, Adipipo,in Odeda ward, Odeda Local government.

6 Panel Solar powered Borehole at Ansar ud-deen Primary school, Tapa,in Alabata ward, Odeda Local government.

Commissioning of Market stalls at Owu, Alagbagba ward in Odeda local government.

Commissioning of 2 blocks of 6 classroom with VIP Toilets in Imo Lisa Alapako oni ward at Obafemi/Owode Local government.

6 Panel Solar powered Borehole at Christ Anglican Primary school, Obaa,in Oba ward, Obafemi Owode Local government.

Commending his giant stride in providing life saving projects to the people of Odeda local government,the chairman House committee on Transportation at the state house of Assembly, Hon. Daisi Elemide praised Hon.Osoba for his love for the people of Odeda local government.
He said “Nobody has ever represented people of Odeda like Hon Osoba”

Also said the Odeda people were happy and appreciative of his gesture which demonstrates his love for them, adding that Olumide had shown love for Odeda people identifying with them at all times as demonstrated by his empowerment.

Dignitaries at the event are transition chairman of Odeda LG, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal, Abeokuta North LG, Hon Tunde Tella and Obafemi/Owode LG, Hon Fatai Mustapha Eruobodo.

Others are Political leaders, Religion Leaders and Youths across 3 LGAs.
