Politician and one of the top All Progressives Congress (APC) Member, Mr. Tijani Rafiu has been murdered in Oyo state.
Mr Tijani, age 63 was reportedly murdered with his wife at 4 wulemat Asuni close Along odo Oba road, Boluwaji, Ibadan.Oyo state.
According to the children, Jumoke kola and Oyesanda Oluwabukola ”Our parents bodies were “infested with insects” after being kept in the room for days, The murder weapons, a claw hammer and a knife, were found near their body”
Alhaji Yusuf Adelaja, the Administrator of Egbeda Local Government Council, confirmed the incident to us in Oyo state.
He said that the deceased and his wife bodies were discovered at home 4 days after the incident
”It was so unfortunate we met their lifeless bodies swollen already on the floor of the room” he said
“Before his death, he was General Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State and owned an irrigation farm
Mr Adeola Adeoyo, Chairman All Progressives Congress in the state said a formal report had been made to the appropriate authority on the unfortunate incident and urged party faithful to remain calm as efforts were ongoing to fish out the perpetrators by security agency.
“We will investigate the matter properly and I assure you, the perpetrator of the act must be arrested and prosecuted. All we are asking is for the members of the public to avail the police of useful information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.”
”The sack of the formal General Secretary brought about factional caucus among the members of the party ,Since the emergence of factional caucus among the party members, there has been uproar among the APC executives in the state.
