The Senior Special Adviser to the governor of Ogun state and
former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Samson Tunji Egbetokun, has called on Nigerians, particularly the Yoruba ethnic group to rally round the presidential bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure its success come February 25, 2023.

Egbetokun said that discerning members of Yoruba ethnic needed no persuasion to know that this is the time to cast all their support to their kinsman, who is presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential race.

The Senior Special Adviser on Political Affairs to governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State made the calls while speaking to the press on shortly after he received in his Abeokuta residence, another batch of loyalists of former governor Ibikunle Amosun that switched camp to join Dapo Abiodun team.

The ex – loyalists of Senator Amosun are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state.

Egbetokun who became the Ogun Assembly Speaker during the second term tenure of governor Gbenga Daniel, noted that the returnees are competent grassroot mobilisers, who will be very valuable for the task ahead of 2023 elections season.

“This is the right time to embrace everybody. It is my prayer that God will give our people the wisdom to do the right thing this season we are entering.

“This is the time for them to come. We now have our own, a Yoruba man as a presidential candidate. I think that anybody who is sensible must know that at this time we must come out to give support to our kinsman, a Yoruba man who is a presidential candidate.

“We know them very well and these are people who can work very well at the grassroots. When it comes to going to the grassroots and work, they are very competent

“This is the right time for them to come, everything has been shared and we going into another election season and anybody that is politically wise knows that this is the time to work and not to drive people away when it is time to work,” Egbetokun said
