The Court of Appeal sitting in Igbosere, Lagos State has dismissed the Appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, House of Reps Candidate for Ijebu Federal Constituency,Hon Taiwo Sote a.k.a Pepe Against Barr. Olufemi A Ogunbanwo.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Barr. Olufemi A Ogunbanwo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the February 25 election.

Ogunbanwo’s election was challenged at the tribunal but he was declared the election winner.

At the appeal court on Thursday, a three-member panel affirmed Ogunbanwo’s election.

In upholding her election, the appellant court dismissed the petition of his challenger.

Reacting to the judgement, the lawmaker said the court’s verdict was a victory for God and his constituents.
