In what could be termed as coming to reality with things, the governorship candidate under the platform of Allied People’s Movement, APM Hon. AbdulKabir Adekunle Akinlade has called on his supporters to sheathe their swords and join the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun in Ogun State.

Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, made this appeal while addressing his supporters in Ipokia on Saturday. He urged all indigenes of Ogun state to support the present administration of Gov Dapo Abiodun with prayers.

Hon. Akinlade stated that everyone in the state should contribute one way or the other to make sure the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun succeeds in order to move the state forward.

He opined that continued attack or criticism of the Dapo Abiodun led administration should be put on hold.

According to him he said “We cannot engage in rivalry, abuses or anything that brings retrogression to our dear state. We have to pray for them (the Abiodun administration) to succeed, as this is not about differences in party, caucus or ideology, but about Ogun State. We have just one Ogun state”

Akinlade who had left the All Progressisves Congress to contest under the platform of APM in the last general election though yet to send his official congratulatory message to the governor, he had recently unceremoniously announced his return to the party.

Although during an interactive session with journalist, Tripple A as he’s fondly called had stated that his team would adopt a “siddon look” approach to Abiodun’s led government only to wait for when the incumbent will extend his hands of fellowship to them.

While reacting to the new development on the call by APM supporters to join hands with Governor Abiodun leadership, a chieftain of the party stated that “this new call may be an afterthought since the governor had directed that anyone who wanted to join the party should do so through the front door”
