The Ogun State Police Command has released updated telephone numbers of Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the state to enhance communication, improve public access to police services, and strengthen security.
The Command said the updated directory also includes the Gateway Shield Complaint Toll-Free Line and Police Control Room numbers, which members of the public can use to report crimes, emergencies, suspicious activities, and other security-related concerns.
According to a statement issued by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, on June 7, 2026, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the Command to improve responsiveness, accountability, and community policing.
The Command urged residents to make use of the dedicated lines responsibly and promptly report incidents requiring police intervention.
DSP Babaseyi reiterated the commitment of the Ogun State Police Command to protecting lives and property, while encouraging citizens to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that can aid crime prevention and detection.
The Police Command assured residents that all reports received through the various channels would be treated with the urgency and confidentiality they deserve.
Members of the public are advised to keep the updated contact numbers handy and share them with family members, friends, and community groups to facilitate quick access to police assistance whenever the need arises.
