Subsidy Removal: Odeda LG Boss, Folashade Adeyemo Flags Off Palliative Distribution To Indigenes

The Executive Chairman of Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon (Dr)Mrs Folashade Adeyemo has disclosed that the primary objective of the distribution of Palliatives was to provide food items to the vulnerable households within the council area.

 

Hon Folashade Adeyemo made the disclosure during the flag off ceremony of the distribution of Palliatives to the impoverished, held at the local government secretariat, Odeda.

The council boss, emphasised that the programme was designed primarily to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal.

Her words :
” seven thousand two hundred and sixty bags of rice were allocated to odeda local government ,forty in each unit and will be distributed among one hundred and eighty two units within different groups for only the vulnerables.

While speaking at the event, Chief Alani Adesanya who represented the council of baales, expressed his gratitude to the executive chairman, Hon (Dr) Mrs Folashade Adeyemo for the sincerity of purpose by ensuring that the Palliatives were given to the people who were seriously in need of it.

Chief Adesanya , equally, appreciated the council boss for the love bestowed upon the people of Odeda Loca Government, which according to him, ” It’s unprecedented.”

The highpoint of the event was the symbolic presentation of the food items by the chairman to the various groups at the colour ceremony.

The event had in attendance : the chairman,
odeda local government, Hon,(Dr) Mrs Folasade Adeyemo, the secretary to the local government Mr.Zacheus Makinde, leader of the legislative house, Hon.Adeyemi Rotimi, all councillors and supervisors .

Other notable dignitaries included: the Divisional Police Officer, Obantoko Division, Sp Segun Johnson Soderu, representative of the council of baales, chief Alani Adesanya, TRACE representative, Odeda Division, Mr Kareem Waheed, CAN representative, Bishop Richard.

The career functionaries of the Odeda Local Government who were part of the event included: the Head of local government administration, Miss Olufunke Adeniji and all directors in the various departments.
